Ground Chicken, Thai Basil, Lemongrass and Green Chilies

Dan-Thanh dropped into Chinatown, so I made some Thai style chicken with basil for dinner.

  • Couple spoons of frozen lemongrass
  • Medium bowl of chopped up thai basil and spring onions
  • 1 pound of ground chicken
  • Couple spoons of minced garlic
  • 4 thai green chilies


  1. Fry the garlic and lemongrass a bit
  2. Drop in the chicken, mix until brown
  3. Drop in the basil and onions
  4. Cut in some green chilies
  5. Throw a little soy sauce, fish sauce, and sesame seeds around. Black pepper, salt. Whatever makes it taste good.
  6. Steamed rice and stir fried veggies with garlic.
  7. Fish sauce + more green chilies on the side
  8. Fresh mint tea and bamboo shoots in chili oil
